2027 Travel Plans Finalized

2027 Travel Plans Finalized

I just booked our final 2027 travel trip and I am so excited! I have a whole lot of travel research to do ahead of both 'big' 2027 (March and September/October) trips, so it's preferred that by confirming now, I'll have enough lead time to do so.

Here's what will be happening:

2027 Travel Plans

January- Finish the last few days of our Western Caribbean cruise that began in December 2026.

Spend 10 days at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

March- This is the newly booked trip! A week in Auckland, New Zealand before boarding a cruise ship for a one way, two week sail around both North and South Islands, then across the Tasmian Sea to Sydney, Australia. We'll spend another week in Sydney before returning home.

And we were able to book a great big suite for the same price as a balcony room, due to how close to sail we booked. The ship was almost completely sold out, other than for the specific suite category we booked, and thus prices had been lowered to effect a full sell out. So, sometimes being spontaneous does work out, even though it is definitely not my 'natural' setting.

April-May-June Home to remain flexible for a planned re-roofing of our home.

July - Our younger-daughter and her family will be here for a few weeks of summer beach fun.

September-October  We'll fly to Montreal, Canada for a week of exploring, then board a cruise ship for a two week trip that will explore NE Canada and US before ending in New York City. We'll then spend a week in NYC before flying home.

November- California coastal cruise with my mother and sister-in-law. This is a repeat of 2026, because they are that excited, and for me chief travel planner, that easy. I love our coastline in the Fall, the weather is generally sublime, and so we (my spouse and I) are very happy to make this an annual cruise event.

December- A repeat of 2026, wherein we'll fly to spend Christmas with our family in Tennessee, then fly to Florida for a Caribbean cruise.

I'm not getting any younger, nor is my spouse, and I am thus thrilled to have our 2027 plans finalized and in place.

Heading out for a coastal walk now, in order to burn off some of the adrenaline rush that booking this last trip to Oz just generated. Lol.

  1. All sound great. I love the 4 week blocks for you. That's my goal. It sounds horrible thinking this way way, but while pup is with me, short travel is the best I can do as his care is my priority ( and a lot of time constraints to put on others.) As your trips match so many of my wish list, I'll be looking for your recaps. Montreal/ Quebec City per Jackie's thoughts as thats probably on a shorter list as Air Canada and Delta are pretty easy to book from Minnesota.
